Foot
Many causes of foot pain including:
- Degenerative disease such as osteoarthritis
- Fracture or ligament injury

Symptoms may include:
- Numbness in the foot
- Pain in the heel, ball or arch of foot
- Change in sensation or color of skin
- Swelling or tenderness

Ankle
Because of constant stress and frequency of use, ankle pain generally does not subside without treatment.
Ankle pain is most commonly associated with
- traumatic injury, such as fracture or injury to the ligament such as a sprain
- overuse injury such as tendinitis of the Achilles or other tendon or stress fracture
- degenerative conditions such as arthritis
Treatment options may include:
- Bracing or orthotics
- Anti-inflamatory drugs
- Physical therapy
- Ankle surgery to treat soft tissue injury or fracture
