Fractures can occur in any bone of the body. Here at TOS we see many different types of fractures of the arms, legs, hands, feet and spine.

Fractures are diagnosed using visual inspection and x-ray, although some fractures may not be visible by these methods and may require more advanced imaging such as MRI or CT.

Some types of fractures may require surgery, where others may be treated using immobilization in a cast or splint for a period of a few weeks.

Stiffness and limited range of motion are common after the fracture has healed and your doctor may prescribe physical therapy to help with that.
